Head Technician
Marilyn joined BIBA Academy because her love of hair is only matched by her love of education.
Marilyn has been in the industry for over twenty years with a broad background salon ownership and management but has spent the latter part of her career as a teacher.
“What I love about BIBA is how the learning and training never stops – even for the staff. We’re all encouraged to be the best we can be, to evolve and enter competitions, to learn from each other, and attend training nights together. It’s that sense of constant progression and feeling that it’s all about the hair, and providing nurturing support, that makes our Hairdressing Academy in Melbourne so special.
Our students pick-up on our camaraderie and it helps them build in confidence.
Our step-by-step approach we follow means that our students can progress at their own level, knowing that they can feel comfortable and reassured that, whatever their learning pace is, there’s always someone available to find the best learning process that fits them (as a student).”
"I’ve been nominated for the HBIA Educator of the Year since joining the team, I feel even more ambitious to share my ten years of hairdressing teaching experience with BIBA Academy’s students.” Marilyn Guarino.
